Scooter season to re-open in Moscow

On April 11, 2009, the Moscow Scooter Club will be celebrating the new scooter season at the traditional place, the Alcatraz motoclub.

Motonews.ru welcomes all scooter owners to take part in the season’s opening.

Traditionally, everybody gets together on the Vorobyovy Hills (Moscow), according to an official statement made by the Moscow Scooter Club’s press secretary Sergey Dovedov. “Like last time, no exact time will be set for the scooter riders’ meeting on the hills. Usually, whoever wants to give a talk can come early, while the others can arrive by 5 p.m. in time for the scooter column to take off.”

The column will move around the city – along the Moscow River embankments to the Nagatinskaya Embankment, then across the river to Andropov Prospekt and straight to the Alcatraz motoclub for a night-long party starting at 6:30 p.m.

The program for the event includes the following:
1. The organizing committee will deliver a speech and expand on plans for the upcoming season.
2. The participants will chat, meet new scooter riders and share their news since the previous season.
3. There will be contests, both comedy and sports, on scooters and inside the club, with prizes and gifts.
4. A popular music group will give a small concert.
5. There will be several show-surprises.
6. There’s no doubt it will be great fun!
