Bikes presented at Moscow International Automobile Salon 2012

Traditionally, the Moscow International Automobile Salon 2012 kicked off in the capital’s International Crocus Expo Center on August 31.

The international car show featured 23 global, 21 European and 85 Russian premieres, as well as 34 brilliant concept cars from major producers including Audi, BMW, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Infiniti, Opel, Suzuki, Peugeot, and other globally respected brands.

Meanwhile, the salon’s numerous car premieres and concept cars nicely complemented the motorcycles. For one, the car producer Honda presented its key motorcycle models in its display area.

The BMW stand featured not only BMW Motorrad models, but also the brand's new scooters, BMW C650GT and BMWC600 Sport.

The already much hyped electric concept car RAK e by Opel once again sparked speculation on whether it was bringing cars a step closer to motorcycles. The vehicle can travel at up to 120 kilometers per hour, while its battery is supposed to last 100 kilometers.

In addition to the above-mentioned brands and models at the Automobile Salon, Suzuki was also very strongly represented, bringing its line of touring bikes and even an ATV.

The exposition remained open for the public until September 9, and it also featured some impressive shows: for one, on September 8, the Moscow Automobile Salon 2012 played host to the final round of the Eastern European Championship of Stuntriding, Motul M1 Stunt Battle Russia.
