Adam Raga is declared runner-up in the 2015 X-Trial World Championship after his brush with victory in the final race

The Gas Gas rider has a near-miss with victory in the last round of the championship. Adam Raga's second place in the X-Trial World Championship is secured with his second place in Oviedo after a solid season for the Ulldecona rider and his team, the Gas Gas Factory Trial Team.

Wanting to say goodbye to this 2015 World indoor championship with a victory and he got very close in the last section. Adam Raga grasped for a victory in the sixth and final round of the World Championship X-Trialdisputed in Oviedo, a race that was eventually decided in the last minute.

The Gas Gas rider finished second and achieved second place in the world championship after a full season for both him and his team, the Gas Gas Factory Trial Team. A good string of results, always in the positions of honor at all of the races and whose rewards are reflected with the win in Pau and the title of runner-up in the 2015 X-Trial.

Ranked against time in the final, with only the top four riders, Adam Raga kept the pulse of the race until the last section. In Oviedo, a trial to which the sections were difficult to adapt to for the Gas Gas rider, being equal to the end which was the keynote of the scoring. With few mistakes, Adam Raga and his opponent quickly distanced themselves from the others in the classification. A technical tie of the score, resulted in a duel to the end that unfortunately was decided on a slip in the last section, where the Ulldecona rider has lost his balance and ended up collecting a five.

Despite the logical response to be angry after failing to traverse last obstacle which would have meant his second win at a world championship event this year, Adam Raga with this second place in Oviedo has claimed second place overall in the X- Trial World Championship after a solid season with the Gas Gas Factory Trial Team in the World Championship of this indoor specialty.

Adam Raga: “In Oviedo we have achieved second place, following the same line of good results of the last races. It was a bit of an odd trial that has cost us to adapt our riding style, but nevertheless we have been trying to win until the last section, where I made a mistake at the exit. However, despite victory escaping us, we should be happy. This course I would have liked to win here and close the season with another victory, but it was not meant to be. This result gives us the runner-up, we maintained second place in the standings and we must be very proud of this result and how the season has gone. We rode well, and the team, the bike, and the factory workers have given the most this season, so we value very highly everything we've got."
