The 67th EICMA motorbike show was held in Fiera Milano, Italy’s exhibition center, on November 10-15
Motonews.ru journalists attended EICMA 2009, which occupied the area of some 55,000 sq. m. The event brought together top motorbike and scooter manufacturers, such as Piaggio Group, BMW Motorrad, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Husqvarna, Kawasaki, KTM, Suzuki, Triumph, Moto Guzzi, Rizoma and others, i.e. a total of 420 participants and more than 500 brands.
Kawasaki and BMW Motorrad boasted the biggest stands among all. The Kawasaki stand was the most breath taking with plenty of bike models available to sit on and touch, and BMW stand was impressive in terms of its size and the gem that it showed off, i.e. awesome BMW Concept6. Ducati will be remembered by its stand’s size as well, along with friendly girls that could even speak Russian a little. In general, the way EICMA was organized, its endless show rooms, and, of course, reputable motorcycle producers make this Milan exhibition a very special event. For this reason, Motonews.ru suggests that future visitors to EICMA in Milan prepare to spend at least a week there, to see the latest motorcycle models and become part of this endless motorbike world.
In 2009, RTE-Group will stick to its much-loved tradition and for the 6th time bring together producers and distributors of motorcycles, motorbike equipment, parts and lubricants, as well as professional bikers and moto fans, motorbike clubs, and simply all those who can’t live without their two-wheeled friends in Moscow!
The following companies have already confirmed their participation in next year’s event: Yamaha Motor CIS (Yamaha’s official branch office), Honda Motor RUS (Honda’s official branch office), Fudzi Motors (an official representative of Kawasaki), RusMotoImport (an official representative of Ducati), Bikeland multi-branded motorbike dealership, and Rosan, which is the official representative of Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) in Russia. The world’s well-known brand Harley Davidson will be among the participants for the first time in 2009, along with MASCO-EAST, an official importer of KYMKO scooters and motorcycles to Russia.
