Pedrosa confirms further surgery to fix arm pump issues
|
9 comment(s)
Repsol Honda’s Dani Pedrosa will unfortunately need further surgery to fix his arm pump issues that continued to plague the Spanish rider during the first round of the 2015 MotoGP Championship. This common problem among motorcycle racers is a build-up of pressure in the forearm causing great pain, and makes riding a bike exceptionally difficult when the muscle becomes too big for the ‘sack’ that it sits in.
Dani tried very hard over the winter in order to find a solution, after struggling to perform at his top level throughout the 2014 season, and even had surgery last year – after the Jerez GP – but it was unsuccessful. During this time doctors advised against any further surgery. Then throughout all the Winter testing it seemed that in theory the problem was solved, unfortunately the issue came back again under the stresses of the race situation.

Fifth and eighth overall at the MXGP of Argentina for Team HRC
|
11 comment(s)
Team HRC’s Gautier Paulin and Evgeny Bobryshev finished today’s Grand Prix of Argentina in fifth and eighth places overall respectively, but the numbers don’t tell the whole story.
Light drizzle fell at the start of the opening race and for the opening few laps, but did little more than dampen the track. Bobryshev emerged strongly from turn one in third, and despite slipping to eighth at one point the resurgent Russian finished fifth – his best result since the Italian GP in June last year, just before the injury in the second race of that GP that ruled him out for the rest of the season.
Difficult season opener for Repsol Honda but Marquez and Pedrosa salvage important points
|
15 comment(s)
It wasn’t the start that Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa would have liked for their 2015 MotoGP Championship campaign.
Dani, starting from second on the grid and Marc starting from third, both had a problematic first corner, with Marc emerging as the biggest victim. As the MotoGP riders jostled for position, Dani was edged out down to seventh and Marc made a small mistake, running wide in turn one and rejoined the track in last place.

Honda Racing Corporation are pleased to announce Casey Stoner’s return to competition racing. The two-time MotoGP Champion (2007 and 2011) will form part of Honda’s MuSASHi RT HARC-PRO three person team at this year’s Suzuka 8hr race, taking place on Sunday 26th July.
