Barcelona’s majestic Palau Sant Jordi hosts the fourth event of the 2015 FIM X-Trial World Championship, with overall leader Toni Bou and Repsol Honda Team eager to put on a display for the home crowd.
Toni Bou comes to the FIM X-Trial World Championship this weekend determined to retake top-spot on the rostrum and boost yet further his advantage at the head of the general rankings. Livia Lancelot took her Team 114 Kawasaki to a double victory in the opening rounds of the FIM Women's World Motocross Championship at Losail in Qatar and was joined on the podium by Meghan Rutledge.
The Kawasaki girls quickly settled in to third and fourth places at the start of the opening moto to keep a watchful eye on the leaders around the tricky track in the desert just outside Doha. When the leading girl fell, both Kawasaki girls, with Meghan in front aboard the Monster Bud Racing Kawasaki, pounced on the new leader to quickly establish their dominance. On the seventh of eleven laps the French girl made a clever inside pass on the Australian teenager to lead to the finish, but a couple of errors allowed the defending champion Kiara Fontanesi to push Meghan down to third.
Podium for Dylan Ferrandis in Qatar

Dylan Ferrandis started the FIM World MX2 Motocross Championship with a podium finish at Losail in Qatar for the Monster Energy Kawasaki MX2 Racing Team.
The young Frenchman showed tremendous speed to storm past ex-champion Jeffrey Herlings on the seventh of seventeen laps in the opening race and immediately pulled away until he became nervous and made a few mistakes which allowed his rival to catch and pass him again. Determined to make amends in race two Dylan grabbed the holeshot, but was caught by surprise further round the opening lap. Determined not to make the same mistake as in race one when he showed his card too early Dylan settled in behind Herlings. Unfortunately he was forced to change lines and crashed when his front wheel dropped into a hole. Losing many places Dylan eventually recovered to fifth place in the moto, which guaranteed him a place on the overall podium for the day in third place.

Team HRC eagerly anticipate the 2015 MXGP opener in the Qatar desert
The 2015 MXGP season kicks off this weekend with the now regular season-opener at the floodlit track of Losail, Qatar. Team HRC riders Evgeny Bobryshev and Gautier Paulin will be looking to build on the Honda CRF450RW’s success in Qatar from last year, where it took a moto victory.
Qatar will signal Bobby’s return to GP racing after a 2014 season hampered by injury. The popular Russian rider has not competed in a GP since Maggiora in June of last year so, after an off-season spent getting back to optimal fitness, he is hungry to make a strong return in the season opener.

|

The top-level motorcycle racing season is back. The eni FIM World Superbike Championship is back – this year in its 28th edition – and once again Pirelli will be the Official Sole Supplier of tyres for all categories. The Italian tyre manufacturer, after winning the Dorna and International Motorcycling Federation contract last September, will for the twelfth year in a row (and through 2018) be working alongside all the teams and riders to accompany them through a season which will doubtless once again provide excitement and entertainment for all two-wheel enthusiasts who will be watching with bated breath down to the last turn, cheering on their heroes.
To open up the 2015 season, the setting will once again be the spectacular Phillip Island circuit, located in southern Australia on the Island of the same name, 150 kilometres south of Melbourne, in Victoria. The first round of the season will be held from 20 to 22 February, but the teams will actually already be on the track with Pirelli on Monday and Tuesday for the usual official tests that precede the beginning of the season. Like every round, Pirelli will be bringing various front and rear solutions for the Superbike and Supersport riders. For Phillip Island there will be several development solutions developed specifically for this circuit which notoriously is one of the most demanding track on an international level for tyre manufacturers.
