Pedrosa confirms further surgery to fix arm pump issues
|
9 comment(s)
Repsol Honda’s Dani Pedrosa will unfortunately need further surgery to fix his arm pump issues that continued to plague the Spanish rider during the first round of the 2015 MotoGP Championship. This common problem among motorcycle racers is a build-up of pressure in the forearm causing great pain, and makes riding a bike exceptionally difficult when the muscle becomes too big for the ‘sack’ that it sits in.
Dani tried very hard over the winter in order to find a solution, after struggling to perform at his top level throughout the 2014 season, and even had surgery last year – after the Jerez GP – but it was unsuccessful. During this time doctors advised against any further surgery. Then throughout all the Winter testing it seemed that in theory the problem was solved, unfortunately the issue came back again under the stresses of the race situation.

Fifth and eighth overall at the MXGP of Argentina for Team HRC
|
11 comment(s)
Team HRC’s Gautier Paulin and Evgeny Bobryshev finished today’s Grand Prix of Argentina in fifth and eighth places overall respectively, but the numbers don’t tell the whole story.
Light drizzle fell at the start of the opening race and for the opening few laps, but did little more than dampen the track. Bobryshev emerged strongly from turn one in third, and despite slipping to eighth at one point the resurgent Russian finished fifth – his best result since the Italian GP in June last year, just before the injury in the second race of that GP that ruled him out for the rest of the season.
Difficult season opener for Repsol Honda but Marquez and Pedrosa salvage important points
|
15 comment(s)
It wasn’t the start that Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa would have liked for their 2015 MotoGP Championship campaign.
Dani, starting from second on the grid and Marc starting from third, both had a problematic first corner, with Marc emerging as the biggest victim. As the MotoGP riders jostled for position, Dani was edged out down to seventh and Marc made a small mistake, running wide in turn one and rejoined the track in last place.

Toni Bou celebrates his ninth X-Trial title in Oviedo with a podium place
The 2015 FIM X-Trial World Championship concludes with a sixth and final race which sees Toni Bou take third on the podium in Oviedo, Spain.
Just one week after being crowned 2015 X-Trial World Champion in Austria, Toni Bou arrived in Oviedo hoping to turn in one more masterful performance in front of the home fans. Nevertheless, it didn’t turn out that way for the nine-time Repsol Honda champion. The greatest rider in the history of trial brought the X-Trial season to a close with a third place finish on the day. Toni Bou, in spite of finishing ahead in the semi-finals was unable to capitalize and ran up two failures in the six-section final which allowed Albert Cabestany to steal victory in the season’s last meeting.

|
2 comment(s)
Normal service has been resumed in the Bou Show. The Repsol Honda rider returns to victory after a mighty performance in Barcelona. The triumph, in a highly-demanding final, puts yet more distance between the Honda ace and the nearest rival on the overall leaderboard.
The fourth date of the FIM X-Trial World Championship in Barcelona proved to be an excellent one for Toni Bou, who retook the top-spot that he has occupied so often over recent seasons. Barcelona has been productive for Bou, with a total of nine victories there, seven of which have been consecutive.

It was a day of mixed emotions for Team HRC in Thailand today as the true performances of Gautier Paulin and Evgeny Bobryshev were hampered by crashes that meant the pairing had to fight their way through the field in both races.
The races today were run in very tough conditions as the temperature reached 38 degrees Celsius, leading the organisers to cut the second race duration by five minutes.

Podium-hungry Repsol Honda Team back on home soil as current championship leaders
Barcelona’s majestic Palau Sant Jordi hosts the fourth event of the 2015 FIM X-Trial World Championship, with overall leader Toni Bou and Repsol Honda Team eager to put on a display for the home crowd.
Toni Bou comes to the FIM X-Trial World Championship this weekend determined to retake top-spot on the rostrum and boost yet further his advantage at the head of the general rankings. Bou will be looking to put the recent Pau, France experience behind him, after his mammoth five-year winning streak of twenty-eight consecutive victories finally faded. Even so, the Spanish ace can rest assured that his ground-breaking record will be a near-impossible feat to surmount.

|
11 comment(s)
Three days of official MotoGP tests came to close at the Sepang International Circuit today, as the CWM LCR Honda Team completed their penultimate pre-season session before the 18-round world championship begins in late March.
The day began in typical fashion at the scorching 3.444 mile circuit, with all riders heading quickly out onto the track at 10am to take advantage of the coolest part of the day. Cal Crutchlow was one of those firing in fast lap times from the off, topping the timesheets early on, and eventually setting a stunning personal best of 1’59.658, making him the third fastest rider of this week’s test.
Repsol Honda conclude test with Marquez top & Pedrosa 7th
|
9 comment(s)
The second official test in Malaysia has concluded with World Champion Marc Marquez fastest after three days, and teammate Dani Pedrosa in 7th.
The riders wasted no time in taking to the Sepang track this morning at 10am and the customary time attack ensued whilst track conditions and ambient temperatures are more bearable. With several riders posting times under 2’00, Marc laid down the fastest lap with his time of 1’59.115 on lap 13 of 73 (the most laps by any rider today) and this time remained unbeaten for the remainder of this final day. He evaluated two chassis options and worked on engine mapping before completing a very positive race simulation this afternoon with only three laps above 2’00.
