The new motorbike season-2009 is almost here (there is a countdown timer at the top of the web page to remind you exactly how much time is left before the new motorbike season kicks off). Motonews.ru is happy to provide you with a program of upcoming events, as well as to highlight certain things that should never be forgotten.
Just like last year, no centralized event to mark the beginning of the motorbike season will be held. Instead, all motorbike and scooter clubs will celebrate on their own. Not many of these events have been announced so far, most likely because of the crisis taking its toll on all spheres of economic and public life.
This Saturday, April 4, the Outlaws MC Russia club will celebrate in the Alcatraz Bike Music Club (Andropov Prospekt, Moscow). The program will include a concert (Easy/Dizzy, Runaways, Dizzy), a striptease and contests. The entrance fee is RUB 500.
In 2009, RTE-Group will stick to its much-loved tradition and for the 6th time bring together producers and distributors of motorcycles, motorbike equipment, parts and lubricants, as well as professional bikers and moto fans, motorbike clubs, and simply all those who can’t live without their two-wheeled friends in Moscow!
The following companies have already confirmed their participation in next year’s event: Yamaha Motor CIS (Yamaha’s official branch office), Honda Motor RUS (Honda’s official branch office), Fudzi Motors (an official representative of Kawasaki), RusMotoImport (an official representative of Ducati), Bikeland multi-branded motorbike dealership, and Rosan, which is the official representative of Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) in Russia. The world’s well-known brand Harley Davidson will be among the participants for the first time in 2009, along with MASCO-EAST, an official importer of KYMKO scooters and motorcycles to Russia.
On November 15-16, 2008, the Olimpiysky sports complex hosted the Russian freestyle motocross holiday, i.e. the Adrenaline Rush FMX Masters show.
The best FMX riders from all over the world (Italy, Sweden, Japan, Norway, France, Spain, USA and Russia) got together at the Olimpiysky indoor arena to show off their skills. Among them were: Thomas Pages and Charles Pages (France), Alvaro Dal Farra and Dany Torres (Spain), Massimo Bianconcini (Italy), Sato Eigo and Daice Suzuki (Japan), Jeremy Rouanet (France), Vanni Oddera (Italy), Maikel Melero (Spain), Tod Potter and Mike Mason (USA), and Alexey Kolesnikov (Russia).
